We want to help Utah-based nonprofits improve trust with those who support them by helping nonprofits become more visible online.Did you know that 30-40% of Utah nonprofits don't have a website or online presence? If they do have a website, often their information is out-of-date or no contact information is available. This makes it hard for those in need to access their services and it reduces the trust with those who want to support them.
Innovation
We strive to use technology to improve the nonprofit sector. We provide an affordable way for nonprofits to maintain an online presence and improve trust with those who support their efforts. When a nonprofit joins WikiCharities, there's a low annual subscription fee to access all features on our platform. This fee is cheaper than maintaining an online website, paying for fundraising platforms, maintaining online digital storage tools for essential documents, and more. When a nonprofit becomes fully transparent with their organizational information, they become WikiCharities validated.
Community
We want to help Utah create a trusted nonprofit community, where nonprofits can 1) show their transparency through our nonprofit validation, 2) find other nonprofits to improve collaboration, and 3) where those who need help can find nonprofit services faster and more effectively. When nonprofits become validated on WikiCharities, they have the ability to post projects that allows them to receive 100% of the donations. WikiCharities takes 0% of the donations going to nonprofits through our platform. The first 100 Utah-based nonprofits who become WikiCharities validated will have access to submitting grant requests during our pilot project for collaborative projects.
By getting validated, you are improving trust in the community. Validated nonprofits get access to many additional features so you can get funding, post projects, and more.
Transparent nonprofits receive 53% more contributions than nonprofits who aren't.
